What are lingual braces?

Lingual braces are an orthodontic method for the regulation of malpositioned teeth and basically follow the principle of fixed braces with the difference that they are attached to the inside of the teeth. The lingual braces are often called invisible braces, because the brackets and wires cannot be seen from the outside.
For our younger patients and particularly for adults in their working lives, this type of invisible braces offers an effective and uncomplicated method of treatment to correct malpositioned teeth or gaps between teeth in a long-term and discrete manner. In the case of slight tooth misalignments, partial treatment of only the front with lingual braces is also recommended in many cases.
